Developing skills for a brighter future one child at a time!
Let's Learn!
Let's Learn!
I began tutoring in 2015 after I spent several years teaching in the North Carolina Public School System. I have taught a variety of grade levels from Pre-Kindergarten through 6th grade although I have experience with all grade levels from Pre-K through 12th grade. I have a BA in English and a MA in Teaching!
Pre-School and Pre-Kindergarten Services:
I spent a few years teaching and tutoring four and five year old children. My focus when working with these young children is on phonics and number recognition. I believe that all children can and will succeed in reading and math if they have a sound and solid understanding of letter sounds and numbers. If your child is struggling to learn their letters and numbers, contact me today to schedule a free meeting to see how I can help both you and your child to prepare for the best start to their academic future!
Elementary and Middle Grades Services:
I offer tutoring in all elementary subjects. The most popular subject I works with is Math.
Math:
Math has changed quite a bit throughout the years since a lot of today’s adults were children. Most of what is taught in school today is very different than what was learned when parents were younger. I reinforce what the student is learning in the classroom, as well as help the parents to understand these new methods.
Language Arts:
English Language Arts can be tricky at times, especially when working with grammar rules. I have a BA degree in English, so I am very familiar and experienced with this subject. Most of my students need help with reading comprehension. I use a variety of tools such as reading games and apps to enhance her students’ understanding of complex reading comprehension requirements.
High School Services:
Need help writing or editing that essay or research paper? I offer English Language Arts Services for high school grades. Math services are limited, so please contact me for more information and clarification.
I offer one-on-one tutoring sessions in the comfort of your home or your choice of location. Libraries and coffee shops are great locations for tutoring sessions!
